A slide show of art work from previous years

The community has worked hard over many years to rejuvenate the former school and equip it for the hanging of pictures; some of them very heavy. It is now a weekly meeting place for local amateur artists to paint together and share knowledge. The Art Show reserves space for the group to show a sample of their work.

Killabakh's volunteer curators spend many days each year researching, reviewing and planning the Art Show. They are assisted by 'hanging helpers' in the display of selected works in an exhibition that is sure to take your breath away.

Yesteryear...

For many years, the artwork was presented in the Hall with the northern wall converted into a 'gallery'. Then, in 2000, the community joined with the then Greater Taree City Council to purchase the former one-teacher school from the Department of Education. The building had not been used for more than two decades and was in need of care and attention.
